Thanks to a united and dynamic team, Alea aims to develop added value through creativity and innovation in processing and production. Alea is one of the more outstanding reality and a leading fashion company for menswear in Italy and after more than 65 years mantains a position of pre-eminence thanks to its abitity to interpret and develop the new trends and anticipate the new fashion.
A story rooted in Romagna, specifically in Savignano sul Rubicone, land of history, where Julius Caesar said the famous “Alea iacta est”. In 1952, Agostino Maremonti and Spartaco Onofri were two young men with a shared idea: to create a high quality shirt, distinguished for its sober design.
During those years, Singer organized introductory courses directed at using the new automatic machines. The course was welcomed by the Parish of Savignano, where the first Alea workshop would be located.
It was an innovative idea. So, at the end of the 1950s, the first company headquarters were opened which, even though in a small way, were equipped with the best production machines available on the market. At the end of the 1960s, Alea held a leading position in the Italian market, which continued throughout the 1970s and 1980s and with it, the consolidation of the company.
After the constitution of AFI n 2007, today, the company has a new organizational structure thanks also to the incoming second generation of entrepreneurs, Andrea Maremonti and Claudio Onofri who personify present-day Alea. With an eye to tradition and an eye to the future.
In 2017 AFI celebrated its anniversary of 65 years of continuous activity, proud of the results achieved in its sector.
Since the beginning, Alea’s values have been quality, reserch for design and innovation. Its aim to preserve the original sartorial characteristics while producing modern, innovative collections for the most demanding clients.
